Hello, lovely Key Club Members ~ HUGE thank you for coming out and supporting Key Club at yesterday's meeting! We had an INCREDIBLE turnout, so on behalf of the leadership team, we are forever grateful.

Please be checking your Blackboard for upcoming details on the Tailgate! We are in a GREAT need for supplies for our spirit activities especially face-paint and hairspray! If you can bring supplies, it would be much appreciated! Promotion will be a major focus this week - flyers/posters/the whole nine-yards are welcomed. Make sure to invite your friends to socialize and get to know Key Club! Don't forget to email [email protected] if you are interested in volunteering! (Don't forget about volunteering at one club event such as Fall Club Day or this Tailgate per semester as part of your membership!)

Membership/Sweatshirts - I'm sorry neither was really mentioned at the beginning of the meeting. Our lovely Treasurer, Amy Philip, will continue to accept memberships ($15) and sweatshirt payments ($22) for those who qualified. Feel free to leave this with her, drop it off to Ms. Leonetti's room or leave it with me. ✰

Upcoming Events -

Street clean up: Saturday, August 25th, meet at the corner of Mason ave and Chatsworth st. from 9am-12pm! If you want to have an especially productive morning, come out, wear some comfortable clothing especially if it starts to heat up - feel free to comment with questions. We'll be working with Chatsworth Key Club! ☼

Special Olympics: Maywood Activity Center, 4801 East 58 St. Maywood CA 90270, from 9am-6pm. Contact: Joseph Park, Community Service Chair (More details to follow) However, from what Joseph has shared, it is a really rewarding event, so please consider carpooling to Maywood - it's a bit far (51 mins)!

Divisional Council Meeting: Get to know Key Club members from other clubs in the valley!! This really fun, sociable meeting is hosted at Warner Center Park (across from AMC, 5800 Topanga Blvd) from 2pm-3pm (you can still sleep in!), so get a taste of the incredible spirit of this division. We can even meet up for lunch beforehand (:

These are just a few upcoming events ~ I'll need to look for more, and you will be updated soon! (: Thank you for coming out yesterday and we really hope to see you, our promising future leaders, at next Friday's tailgate! ツ

Q: What are DCMs and why are they important to me as a member?
A: Key Clubs within Division 25 West meet to promote new events, recognize notable clubs, and share the Key Club spirit! Learn new cheers, converse about community service opportunities and forge new friendships with students who share a similar interest: giving back.

Please join Chaminade Key Club on Saturday, March 31st at 1pm-2:30pm at Warner Center Park (5800 Topanga Cyn Blvd). We plan to meet half-an-hour before the meeting for lunch at the Promenade, within walking distance, so please email [email protected] if you are interested.

We look forward to see you soon, and to share what it means to be a Key Club Member: insightful, energetic and, at times, selfless. Email us with any questions or concerns!

Our next meeting is next Monday, March 26th, 2:15pm  in Room 505.  Plan to donate clothes, bring ideas for the Culture Fest, friends an enthusiasm!  Chaminade will be participating as the country of Hungary (think great food and red/white/green national colors!) We are in need of four volunteers per lunch, who will need to man the booth and share their Key Club love and spirit with potential members for the entire lunch period! Also, we need people to donate packs of 100 forks, napkins and bowls. We will be selling Palascinta (Hungarian Crepes)and Indianer (Cream Puffs)! More information to be announced at the meeting on the 26th, but please let us know if you can bring/help out!  Please fill out the membership form, linked to the homepage, and pay the $16 before the end of the month.  To be enrolled in the Blackboard Class, you must be a paid member. Also, the following people must be in attendance: Greg Safarian, Chris Harlow, Brittney Kidder, KK and JJ Townsend, Ashkon Mesbah, Corey Sainz, Caroleen Bitar, Sarah Wong, Amber Angeles, Emmeline Salazar, Emily Oddino, Patricia Manlucu, Angela David, Esther Cha, Rebecca Hernandez, Amy Philip and Shelby Tropio. Please plan to attend our next meeting in Room 505 at 2:15pm, moderated by Ms. Leonetti! We will be discussing upcoming events, with special focus on the Hope of the Valley Clothing Drive. Please read the post above for more information! This meeting is projected to last about 20 minutes.

If you are a potential officer,  you are required to attend the candidate training/information meeting for an estimated 15 minutes after our regular meeting. Your candidacy will be deemed invalid if you fail to attend. Please email us at [email protected] or talk to a current officer/Ms. Leonetti with concerns.

A great resource to use is the "Officer Interest" tab or visiting http://www.cnhkeyclub.org/officers

Remember, new members are always welcomed! Please invite your friends!

Please join us at our next meeting on
Thursday, February 16th at 2:15pm in Room 505!!

At our next meeting, we will start our collection of new and gently used stuffed animals for S.A.F.E., an organization that gives stuffed animals to children and families in wartorn areas, foster homes, and to those who don't have homes or have been abused. These items make a huge difference, so please go through your room and try to part with 2 or 3 stuffed animals for these grateful people!! We will collect them at our meeting!
